I have had a good ride in life. I received training in figure skating, ballet, and marksmanship up through high school. God gave me the good fortune of performing in figure skating and ballet. I performed with the Montgomery Civic ballet, Washington School of Ballet in the Nutcracker, and with the Bolshoi Ballet. I was also able to expand my interests in Astronomy and rocketry. I graduated from Walt Whitman High School and went to Southern Cal. I graduated with a History degree, joined the National Guard, became a certified laboratory technologist in Hematology and Chemistry and worked in my father's medical laboratory. I applied, was accepted, studied at, and graduated from U. of Miami Law School with a J.D. degree. Passed the Florida Bar and practiced law. During Law School I applied, was accepted, and graduated from Officer's Candidate School. After being an Air Observer in the Florida Guard, I applied for a JAG position and received it. In the Florida Guard I attained the rank of LTC. Along the way I was an MP, Air Observer (directed artillery fire from a helicopter), and a JAG. Expert in rifle and grenade; sharpshooter in pistol. Was in the Guard for 30 years. The last 5 years I was legal officer and supervisor of the Guard section of a DEA task Force and received the Army Commendation medal and a plaque honoring my service from the head of the DEA. Retired and retooled. Got my Masters Degree in Science Education at Barry University and became a teacher. I taught Earth Science, General Science, and High School Biology and I loved it. Retired in June, 2015. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 32 years. From that marriage I have a fantastic daughter and son in law. I am now experiencing grandparent hood and enjoying the life and experience of having two granddaughters close by.
There were bumps in the road along the way, but I don't think I would change a thing. I thank God for all the blessings and support he has given me in this life.
